/room/ is excited to announce Hilma’s /room/: a symposium, a collaborative presentation and open conversation led by Jessica Kung Dreyfus about her 2-month residency in /room/. Through public workshops with community members, Jessica has used her residency to explore Hilma af Klint as an entry point and guide to reconsidering the art historical frame. As a culmination of her research process, she has gathered ideas, gestures, and interventions that emerged from her project and will be presenting these findings in a public presentation.
The event will begin with a talk by Jessica Kung Dreyfus and proceed with workshop participants sharing their own experiences and findings, followed by a Q&A and conversation.
Free and open to the public!
The symposium will take place on December 8, 2019 from 4pm-5:30pm in the main gallery of /.
